I went to Revolver Chicago for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and I have to say it was an amazing experience. From the moment I walked in, I loved the vibe. The lighting, the music, and the whole atmosphere made it feel both classy and comfortable. It is the kind of place where you can have a great conversation while still enjoying the energy of the crowd.
The drinks were absolutely incredible. I love a good cocktail, and the bartenders here really know what they are doing. Every drink was balanced perfectly, and you could tell they use high-quality ingredients. I tried a few different ones, and each one had its own unique twist. The menu has a great mix of classic and creative options, so there is something for everyone.
The service was top-notch. The staff was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Even though the place was busy, we never felt like we had to wait too long for anything. It is rare to find a spot where the service matches the quality of the drinks, but Revolver really delivers on both.
Overall, this place is a must-visit. Whether you are looking for a fun night out with friends or just want to enjoy a perfectly made drink in a cool setting, this is the place to be. I will definitely be coming back soon and recommending it to...
Read moreHad an unfortunate experience at revolver. We made a 530 reservation and arrived 10 minutes early. Decided to stop in the record store next door to kill some time. Received a call 5 minutes before our reservation stating that they would be closing at 615 for a private event and asking us if we would like to cancel. It would have been nice if we got notice in advance or if they could have noted when reserving that there was an event.
Once we were seated at the bar, it took 5 minutes to get approached to order. Given the place was closing in 45 minutes I was hoping to get faster service to maximize our time there. Once we ordered, it took another 10 minutes to get our drinks. There wasn’t a ton of people there, others around us had their drinks and weren’t actively ordering so not sure why it took so long. To top it all off, when attempting to order snacks we were informed they were out for this night. This seemed like a lie as everyone around us had snacks in front of them. The place only opened at 5 so not sure how they could have possibly sold out of food in 30 minutes with only about 20 people there. In general was a disappointing experience. We hopped over to Bordel afterwards and thought the speakeasy experience was much...
Read moreCaution - the bartenders will try to trick you into additional gratuity. We each had one drink and asked for the check. The bartender (JD) told me the total was $30. Because he held my card behind the bar, he used it to complete the transaction. Rather than hand me the handheld device right away, he swiped through the screen acknowledging the 20% service fee. When he handed the device to me, it was on an additional gratuity screen with 20% selected. I'm glad I was paying attention because I was shocked to see the total already at nearly $40 (with the 20% service and tax). While I loathe mandatory service fees, I am very much in support of taking care of the staff and gladly would have tipped more. However, I will not tolerate deceptive practices like this. Do not try to trick consumers.
On top of this, there is a plumbing issue in the building. The bar smells like a toilet.
I won't be back and suggest you...
