Chicago Food｜Must-Try Bagel Heaven — Gotham Bagels 🥯

Chicago’s bagel king, Gotham, is so low-key you might walk right past it! Located near Gold Coast (with 3 locations across the city), it’s a morning staple open 7:30am–2pm. Walk to the back to order, find a seat, and they’ll call your name when your food is ready. Lots of people grab to-go, too. Fun fact: At night, it transforms into Italian restaurant Eduardo’s — supposedly great! Highlights below ‼️ 1️⃣ Brighton Beach RECOMMEND ‼️ Smoked salmon bagel sandwich — add scallion cream cheese! Generous, well-balanced, with fresh veggies, capers, and creamy cheese. The perfect summer comfort food 😋 2️⃣ Spicy Sausage Egg & Cheddar Spicy sausage, sunny-side-up egg, cheddar, and pickles on a chewy bagel — so satisfying when the yolk runs into the bread. Delicious, but the salmon still wins.
