Chicago Food Diary π Hearty Texas-Style BBQ Joint
A cozy, super-local American BBQ spot with great vibes ~ We ordered three types of meat (each ΒΌ pound) plus two sides, which was plenty for two people! π Brisket: Cooked just right β tender with a nice bounce, lightly seasoned, and a subtle smoky aroma. π Pastrami: Smoked beef, sliced into larger pieces. Super tender but pretty salty β probably better sandwiched in bread π₯ͺ. Recommend going easy on this one. π Pork Ribs: SO flavorful!!! Tender, juicy, and not greasy at all β my favorite of the three π₯°π€ π₯ Cole Slaw & Pickled Vegetables: So glad we picked these refreshing sides to balance the meats! Sides can also be ordered in half portions, so you can try more variety π (Free bread slices are available β just ask for them at checkout!) How it works: Grab a seat first, then line up at the counter with a tray to choose your meats and sides before paying. Weekend nights get packed β the line can get long, so go early if you can! πΏ π Green Street Smoked Meats 112 N Green St, Chicago, IL 60607 #ChicagoLife #ChicagoEats #ChicagoFoodie #BBQLovers #MeatHeaven #TexasBBQ
