Chicago Food Review|New Hong Kong‑Style Cafe is So Tasty! 😋
Haven’t posted a food review in a while—but recently discovered a real gem🌟! Earlier, I walked past the storefront of Ken Kee in Chinatown Plaza and thought, “Wow, the decor looks amazing!” but it wasn’t open yet. 🏮 Now that Chicago has reopened for indoor dining, Ken Kee Hong Kong‑Style Cafe is finally open for business🈺️! I couldn’t wait to try it—so without further ado, here’s my rec for this super‑photogenic Hong Kong cafe! 🥡 Food Taste: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Why talk taste first? Because it’s really delicious!!! Especially recommend their cart noodles—you can customize with as many toppings as you want: beef brisket, curry fish balls, runny eggs, you name it 😂. 🥘 Laksa Seafood Rice is also a must‑try—big shrimp pieces, with a slight Thai flair. And their Hong‑style milk tea is super authentic👍🏻—please order it, I’m begging you! 🥡 Ambiance: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The decor is seriously thoughtful—retro Hong Kong vibes overall, with glowing neon signs that look great in photos📸. I didn’t even put on makeup and still got great shots! Upstairs, half the wall is hand‑painted by the owner—bright, colorful, and eye‑catching🎨. Only downside: sitting by the window can get a bit chilly. 🏮 Overall, this place is totally worth trying—the food absolutely lives up to the pretty interior. I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes! 📍 Address: 🌟 Ken Kee Restaurant Hong Kong 2129 S China Pl, Chicago, IL 60616 #ChicagoEats #HongKongCafe #ChinatownChicago #FoodReview #HiddenGem #ChicagoFoodie
