Chicago Food Reviews: NoMI & La Vieja Castilla π½οΈβ¨
π NoMI Located on the 7th floor of the Park Hyatt. Reserved a day ahead and requested a window seat with lake views β got the spot in πποΈ. The view was stunning! We ordered okra stuffed with shrimp and tamarind (not sure what that was exactly, but delicious!) β wrapped in a thin, crispy shell β so good! Also a sushi platter with snow crab, eel, and salmon β rich and flavorful π£. For mains: chicken breast and the NoMI burger. The chicken breast was incredibly tender and juicy β first time Iβve had it cooked this well! Lightly seasoned, served with lemon, pickled radish, and a bit of jalapeΓ±o. The burger had two juicy beef patties β also excellent π. We also bought a Chicago Park Hyatt exclusive gin β beautiful bottle designed by a Chinese artist! πΈπ¨ π La Vieja Castilla β Spanish Restaurant Just off I-57 on the way from Champaign to Chicago. Found randomly by a friend β 4.8 stars on Google! Run by a lovely, warm Spanish couple π«β€οΈ. They served complimentary garlic bread and a free dessert We tried the classic garlic shrimp and jamΓ³n β both delicious. The shrimp was softer and more tender than other places Iβve tried. The seafood paella portion was huge β we only finished about half between two people. Highly recommended! π₯ #ChicagoEats #NoMIChicago #ParkHyatt #SpanishFood #LaViejaCastilla #FoodReview #FineDining
