Chicago High-Value Japanese Spot — SUSHI-SAN 🍣
After having a heavy meal at Qiao Lin the night before, I craved something lighter — so here we are! 🥦 Broccolini Salad The sesame dressing was perfectly measured, with a hint of lemon juice for extra freshness — so refreshing! 🌮 Tako Taco An absolute must-order! Crispy nori wraps avocado mash and spicy octopus — the texture and flavor combo is surprisingly amazing 😋 🔥 Spicy Tuna Aburi The rice underneath is crispy like "rice cracker," topped with truffle-seasoned scallions. Best eaten in one bite — and the tuna ball is huge, super satisfying! 🦞 Lobster Goddess Roll Super fresh and light, with a hint of mint. Generous chunks of lobster inside — they don’t skimp! 🍣 Nigiri Pretty standard — fish is fresh, but the rice is a bit too thick for my liking. 🍚 Beef N Bop Even without pouring all the sweet soy sauce, it was still a bit too sweet for me. Not as good as the Lobster Kimchi Roll — never thought lobster + kimchi would work so well! A delicious surprise. 🍆 Japanese Eggplant (not pictured) The only letdown… yuzu mayo couldn’t cut through the oily feel. 😢 Sadly, the black sesame cheesecake I was most excited about was sold out… a small regret! #StudyInUSA #Chicago #JapaneseFood #ChicagoEats #FoodReview #SushiLovers
