Chicago Michelin Restaurant | Indian Cuisine | Delicious & Affordable
ROOH – Recommended by my Indian-American ER doctor and featured in the Michelin Guide. The flavors hit all the right notes — I went two weeks ago and still dream about it. 10/10 recommend! Located in downtown Chicago, the two-level space blends a bar and dining area with an Indian-Western fusion vibe. Prices are reasonable — we didn’t order drinks, just food, and it was under $60 per person! 🍖 Pork Belly (Fig & Ginger Sauce) – Sweet, tangy, slightly crispy, served with fragrant basmati rice. Absolutely incredible — my friend and I give it 10/10. 🧀 Chilli Cheese Kulcha – A cheesy, slightly spicy bread stuffed with green chilies. Leaves a lovely cheesy aftertaste. I’d rate it 9/10, but my friend thought it was just okay — maybe 7/10. 🍗 Butter Chicken – A classic favorite, and ROOH’s version is creamy and full of flavor. Though the pork belly was so flavorful it slightly overshadowed this one. Still amazing with rice or naan! We give it 9/10. 🧀 Paneer Pasanda – Paneer slices sandwiching spiced filling, cooked in a rich red pepper makhani gravy with cashews and fenugreek butter powder. Saw it highly recommended on Instagram — my first time trying it. The paneer is quite rich and filling, but the gravy is creamy and delicious — perfect with naan or rice! I rate it 8/10. #ChicagoEats #MichelinDining #IndianFood #ROOH #AffordableLuxury #FoodieRecs
