Chicago Restaurant Week|Sophia Steak – A Refined Experience
This year’s Restaurant Week choice was Sophia Steak’s $60 Dinner Menu. From start to finish, not only was the food excellent, but the thoughtful service made the evening truly delightful. 🍽 Highlights: • Shrimp Scampi 🍤 The mashed potatoes underneath were the star — smooth, rich, and soaked in flavorful sauce. (Also tried my friend’s Hamachi Crudo — perfectly balanced with soy and sesame oil, very refreshing!) • Flat Iron "Sophia Style" 🥩 Ordered Medium Rare — cooked perfectly, tender and juicy. The signature sauce with crushed pepper was aromatic and delicious! • Malted Milk Chocolate Sundae 🍨 My favorite dessert! The ice cream was just sweet enough and not heavy, even with the whipped cream. (The Bread Pudding was comforting — warm pudding + ice cream is always a win, though it’s sweeter than the sundae.) 💬 Thoughts & Tips: • Service: We waited a bit longer for dessert, but the restaurant kindly offered a complimentary glass of Prosecco 🥂. Recognizing and responding to guests’ needs during busy Restaurant Week — major plus! • Portion & Value: The three-course meal was perfectly satisfying — no worries about skimping during Restaurant Week! • Ambiance: We celebrated a birthday early — they even added a candle to our dessert 🕯️. The interior is elegant and stylish, great for birthdays, anniversaries, or after-work happy hour. The vibe is absolutely on point! • Friendly Reminder: A 20% service charge is automatically added to the bill. The staff explains this clearly — transparent and hassle-free. Compared to last year’s Restaurant Week visits to Boka and Swift & Sons, this was a 10/10 experience! Highly recommend to anyone still deciding where to go for Chicago Restaurant Week.
