Chicago Sophia Steak – Restaurant Week 🥩
Located right below Petit Pomeroy, so you know it can’t be bad 😉. For Restaurant Week, I chose their set menu: 1️⃣ Shrimp Scampi – Tomato sauce, large shrimp, with mashed potatoes. Delicious! 2️⃣ Flat Iron Sophia Style – An ~8oz prime rib—for $60 during Restaurant Week, can’t ask for much more 😂. After a long time without a big beef fix, this hit the spot! The mushrooms on the side were amazing, with a natural creamy aroma. 3️⃣ Sticky Toffee Bread Pudding – Toffee bread pudding with ice cream. Let’s be real—this couldn’t possibly be bad 😂. Finished the whole thing… caloric explosion, but worth every bite! 4️⃣ DIY Wine Pairing – Paired the starter with an Italian Pinot Grigio, and the main with a California Cabernet Sauvignon. Perfectly cozy… Sadly, my light buzz was instantly wiped out by Chicago’s -20°C wind the moment I stepped outside 🥶❄️.
