Delicious Greek Cuisine in Albany

Athos Restaurant: Albany’s Top-Rated Eatery on TripAdvisor✨✨ 🏡🏡Address: 1814 Western Ave, Albany, NY 12203 Two of us ordered 6 dishes plus 2 desserts, coming out to around $100 per person (we’re pretty big eaters, to be honest).🎈 Main Courses🍛🍛 - Grilled Whole Bronzino: The fish skin was perfectly crispy, while the flesh inside was juicy and not greasy at all. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Lamb Youvetsi: The lamb shank was tender and fall-off-the-bone. The sauce at the bottom was great for dipping pita—we cleaned the plate! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ☀️Hot Appetizers - Grilled Octopus: Cooked to perfection—absolutely delicious! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Zucchini Chips: For some reason, they had a sour taste. Not as good as the ones we had at Saloniki in Boston. ⭐️⭐️ Cold Appetizers🌙 - Mezze Platter: It had my favorite tzatziki (yogurt sauce), my boyfriend’s go-to baba ganoush (eggplant sauce), hummus, and a chunky eggplant salad.🥚 There was also a spicy item in the middle (not sure what it’s called) with a hint of cucumber sweetness. 🍬 We dipped pita in every sauce, then even wrapped pita around lamb, fish, octopus, and zucchini chips—it went with everything! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Greek Stuffed Rice Roll (similar to a "Greek rice dumpling"): Not sure what it was, and we didn’t really get its flavor. ⭐️ The restaurant has a stylish interior.
