Dining Together : Steakhouse and More 🍖
📍 Asador Bastian ✨ The entrance is super low-key and easy to miss. It's said to be tough to get a reservation, but we got lucky and snagged a 4:30 p.m. spot just two days before. The menu has no photos, but the waitstaff gives a very detailed introduction. 🌟 🥩 True Galiciana The doneness is absolutely perfect—crispy on the outside and tender-pink on the inside. The addition of small yellow peppers adds a rich layer of flavor. 🥩 🦞 Lobster, Corn, & Foie Gras The lobster is fresh and bouncy, but the dish is a bit on the salty side overall. 🦞 🍳 Tortilla española & 5J Jamón The eggs are just slightly runny, creamy and smooth, while the potatoes are soft but not mushy. The jamón gets more flavorful with every chew, though the fatty parts can be a bit tough to swallow. 🍳 🍰 Basque Cheesecake The first bite was a revelation—bitter caramel on top, a light and airy cake body, rich in dairy flavor, with a hint of yogurt. It's way better than any cheesecake I've had back home! 🍰 📍 Silver Spoon Located right next to the Thai embassy, this Thai restaurant offers incredible value for money. In a city like Chicago where prices are soaring, this place doesn't cut corners or raise prices. It's truly touching. 🥢 🍜 Thai Noodle Soup The dish is loaded with so much meat that it almost drowns the noodles, but the meat is a bit chewy. 🍜 🔥 Pad See Ew The wok hei is intense, and the chicken is incredibly tender. 🍖 🥒 Cucumber Salad The dressing is sweet but not fully absorbed into the cucumbers. It leaves a refreshing aftertaste. 🥒 #ChicagoFoodie #AsadorBastian #Steakhouse #ThaiCuisine #ChicagoEats
