Dusek’s Tavern — A Cozy Neighborhood Spot in Pilsen 🍺✨
I used to catch comedy shows next door at Thalia Hall and finally noticed this unassuming restaurant (I usually end up at S.K.Y across the street — check my earlier post about their tasting menu!). When a friend and I planned a Monday dinner, Dusek’s was one of the few places open, so we gave it a try. 🍹 I ordered the Dusek’s Sour. I usually love tropical flavors, but the tequila here just wasn’t for me — not a fan. ❌ 🍹 We shared half-order fried chicken wings coated with a sprinkle of sugar — totally sinful but absolutely delicious! 😋 🍹 A pub staple — Fish & Chips. Often fried fish can be bland, but here it was perfectly seasoned, crispy outside and tender inside. Highly recommend! 🐟🍟 🍹 The Flat Iron Steak came with peaches and shishito peppers in a bone marrow sauce — summery and Asian-inspired. Cooked just right to a beautiful medium rare, it was my favorite! 🥩🍑🌶️ All of the above are from their regular tavern menu, available daily. But I discovered they also offer a special tasting menu from Thursday to Sunday — definitely coming back to try it!
