Evanston | Coffee Shop Exploration: Newport Coffee House

A coffee shop near the Northwestern area that my friend highly recommended – and it totally exceeded my expectations! 😍 The moment I stepped inside, I was instantly drawn in by the interior design 🏡. The menu is simple, focusing mainly on espresso-based drinks and pour-over coffee, but the quality is seriously impressive ☕✨. It’s been a while since I’ve had an espresso at a coffee shop that wasn’t just intensely bitter or sour – this one had noticeable layers of flavor! The pour-over is brewed using a machine, which definitely makes the result more consistent than manual brewing. On the flip side, the staff seemed less knowledgeable about the coffee beans themselves, and I was served a pretty large cup of pour-over… which was a bit unusual? 😅 I didn’t try any pastries this time, but they looked (and smelled!) amazing 🥐👃.
