Goosefoot — Summer Visit to a Chicago Michelin-Starred Favorite
It’s been a year since my last visit to Goosefoot — and they remain one of Chicago’s most COVID-cautious fine-dining spots (air filtration, boxed cutlery, private booths, etc.). The food, as always, was excellent. 🍲 Started with corn soup and foie gras mousse — tasty, though the topping felt separate from the soup. Would’ve been better blended. The lingonberry tart on the side was bright and refreshing. 👩🍳 Service was a bit slow (only three staff that night), but owner Nina was warm and attentive — she even remembered my visit from a year ago and pointed out where I sat! 🎁 At the end, each guest received take-home chocolates and an origami crane — a lovely touch. Goosefoot offers straightforward, well-executed Michelin-starred dining — no gimmicks, just delicious food. Since they’re on OpenTable, you can use points to cover up to $100 of your meal — making it one of Chicago’s most affordable Michelin experiences!
