I Drank the Extremely Light Soy Milk from My Childhood in Chicago!
🍑Today, I had soy milk from this Chinese restaurant, and it instantly took me back to my childhood breakfast shop. It’s that kind of super light, super comforting soy milk! The taste is almost exactly the same. I love this kind of extremely light, nostalgic soy milk. Both the sugared and unsweetened versions hit the spot, and I was almost in tears. I haven’t had this in years! Cumin Lamb Scorpion (a type of lamb dish) A warm bite is incredibly fragrant and full of flavor. 🍑Sauerkraut and Pork I usually don’t like this northern Chinese dish, but this version is so refreshing. I couldn’t stop eating it. The sauerkraut is very crisp and cuts through the richness perfectly. I even had two bowls of the soup. 🍑Sweet and Sour Pork It’s good, but I personally prefer a thicker texture. 🍑Main Course: Hand-Grabbed Flatbread Straight out of the oven, it’s crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It has a northern Chinese texture and is quite plain. I came for the dishes, but it ended up being my go-to place just for the soy milk. It’s located a bit further south in Chinatown. #FoodieHomies #Leftovers
