In-On Thai โ Recommended by a Friend Who Lived in Southeast Asia ๐น๐ญ
In-On Thai was recommended by an American friend who spent years in Southeast Asia โ he swears itโs authentic. Iโm not sure about that, but I did try dishes I havenโt seen at other Thai spots in Chicago. ๐ Crispy Fish with Jungle Salad โ crunchy fried fish topped with tangy onions, herbs, and lime juice. ๐ Fried Rice with Sausage โ fragrant sausage infused with Thai herbs. ๐ Mee-Krob (Crispy Noodles) โ weirdly addictive! Topped with shrimp, fried tofu, scallions, and bean sprouts โ gone in minutes. ๐ In-On Thai Spicy Fish โ when a dish is named after the restaurant, you know itโs the signature. Savory, spicy, and brightened with basil. ๐ฅ Fish with Herb Salad โ this version included apple slices for a fresh, fruity twist. Even with multiple fish courses, each tasted distinct. ๐ In-On is the ownerโs wifeโs name โ the restaurant reflects his love for her and pride in their cuisine. ๐ฐ Affordable, BYOB, and thereโs a liquor store right next door! P.S. They supposedly have off-menu Hainanese chicken โ has anyone tried it? In-On Thai: 4641 N Broadway, Chicago, IL 60640 #ChicagoEats #ThaiFood #InOnThai #BYOB #ChicagoFoodie #Uptown #HiddenGem
