Kicking Off Summer in Chicago with Shaved Ice ☀️

On such a hot day in Chicago, all I craved was something icy and refreshing. Between classes, my friend and I headed to Autea Sweets & Eats — and just in time for their 2nd anniversary special! They had a combo deal (only available in-store) that was super budget-friendly. 🍧🍗 Shaved Ice + Fried Chicken Combo Shaved Ice — light, fluffy, and as good as expected. Fresh sweet fruit 🍉🍍🥭🍈 and red beans hidden inside 🫘. Fried Chicken — we chose bone-in honey garlic. The sauce was delicious, and the chicken was juicy and tender — not dry at all! All this for only $17.50 — such a steal, and enough for two people! 🍜 Spicy & Sour Noodles with Pork Intestine $15 for a huge bowl — loaded with pork intestine and pickled mustard greens. Spicy, tangy, and perfect paired with a bite of shaved ice 🤤 🧋 Thai Green Milk Tea with Boba Have to shout out the generous amount of boba — chewy and satisfying. The tea is on the sweeter side, so go for 0% sugar if you prefer less sweet. 🥔 Crispy Potato Spiral Perfectly thin and crunchy — best I’ve had in Chicago! 🔥 Grilled Wheat Gluten Skewer Also tasty — loved the seasoning on their fried skewers. The shop has so many options — can’t wait to come back and try more. Plus, there’s free parking nearby and plenty of seating — great for studying or hanging out. 📍 Autea Sweets & Eats 2026 S Clark St Unit A&B, Chicago, IL 60616 #ShavedIce #ChicagoEats #SummerTreats #EatYourWayThroughSummer #Chicago #Bingsu 🍨
