Mango Pickle – Chicago Restaurant Week Indian Spot

Overall: 3/5 (Low value for Restaurant Week, though flavors aren’t bad) Tried their 2025 Chicago Restaurant Week dinner menu — $60 per person.😍 Not bad tasting, but value is questionable: The main course offers a mushroom option at no extra cost, but pork belly is +$9 and scallops +$12. Most other items are vegetarian — feels steep for $60. Plus there’s a 20% service charge — per person ends up around $80. The vibe is dark and cozy — good for dates. Service was okay. Even on a weekend during Restaurant Week, only 2–3 tables were occupied — guess others also thought the menu wasn’t worth it. ❤❤❤❤ Appetizer – Potato Bomb A large spiced potato ball with chili inside, served with sour cream — tasty combo.❤️😂 ❤❤❤❤ Second Course – Kajriwal Super Toast Crispy bread with avocado, egg (vegan version uses pumpkin purée), and chili cheese — best dish of the night (out of only four courses).😁💕 ❤❤ Main Course – Saag Mania We added scallops and pork belly (extra $$) — both were just okay, nothing special. ❤❤❤❤ Dessert – Kaapi Semifeeddo Coffee-flavored semifreddo — not too sweet, with a nice crunchy base. #HiddenGem #ChicagoRestaurantWeek #IndianFood #ExploreChicago #NotWorthThePrice
