Milan, Italy: Where Modern & Vintage Luxury Intertwine ✨💎
🌟 Fondazione Prada – Milan's Prada Foundation Art Museum This spot was a last-minute addition to our itinerary. We initially wanted to book a restaurant near the Milan Cathedral, but since we couldn’t get a reservation, we had a free afternoon. Although it’s a bit far from the Cathedral, you can take a light rail to get there easily. The main attraction here is the architecture, designed by OMA Architects. The most famous feature is a striking gold building that’s truly unique! Even the restrooms inside have a futuristic vibe. As for the exhibitions, they lean more toward modern art, which wasn’t entirely my thing, but I did enjoy two of them: one displaying screens of various styles from different countries, and another with upside-down rotating mushrooms—very quirky! 🍄🎨 I remember seeing online that there are Prada-exclusive items available here, but since I can’t really afford their clothes, I didn’t spend much time browsing their merch shop, haha! 😅👗👜 If you visit, I recommend trying their on-site restaurant. They have both sections where you don’t get charged for seating and sections where they do, so you can choose whichever fits your mood. The restaurant itself has this lovely vintage retro vibe—very charming. The food wasn’t overly sweet, which I appreciated, so it’s worth sitting down and enjoying a meal while you’re here. 🍽️✨ However, if you’re short on time and not super into modern art, you might want to skip it, as it’s a bit far. Unless you’re up for a taxi or public transport, it could be a bit of a trek. 🚋🚕 #Italy #Milan #MilanFashionWeek #MilanDesignWeek #FondazionePrada #PradaArtFoundation #Prada
