Milan | Once is Enough
š§©Milan Cathedral is too famous, and as the capital of fashion, Leonardo da Vinci once worked here. It might be better to come for shopping, but I didnāt feel much fashion on the streets. šAs a pure tourist and in the peak of summer, I really didnāt like it. For convenience to go to Zermatt in Switzerland, I stayed next to the central station, but I was extremely disappointed with the station. I couldn't be bothered to take pictures; it was old, messy, and had no air conditioning. The waiting room was like a steam room, with poor girls fanning themselves. I escaped after just one glance. šThe signs inside the station were chaotic, the pasta in the food street claimed to be handmade, but it was so-so, not to the point of fainting. The tripe buns were just so-so, a bit similar to Chinese food flavor. The surrounding area was even dirtier and more disordered, even outside the central area. The Bristol Hotel, which cost over a thousand, was nothing special except for its location, and I endured it for four nights š If I had known, I would have gone to the border town of Domodossola one night earlier. The reason for the four nights was that I planned to take a day trip to Lake Como, but I gave up because of the heat. Honestly, having seen too many lakes, I didnāt have high hopes for Como, just came and checked it off the list. If I had known Milan was such a mess, I would have stayed only two nights. Itās not a nice or fun place. Looking at restaurants that seemed nice, two main dishes plus a table fee came up to 50 euros, and the key is they werenāt that tasty. Next to me, some Americans had a very delicious expression on their faces haha. Chinese food wasnāt tasty either, so I wonāt come back. Don't talk about how delicious it is with a per capita cost of 50-100 euros; you can find good food anywhere, there's no comparison. š¹However, the girl at Kiko was very nice, serving well and selling Cathedral-printed lipsticks as souvenirs, very enthusiastic and patient. The staff at the Cathedral were also very friendly. #Milan #Milan Cathedral #My Travel Diary #Recommended Check-in
