🍣 My First Time Trying Conveyor Belt Sushi! | Kura Sushi
You might not believe it, but this was my very first time eating at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant! 🎌 Before this, I’d only seen it in videos and photos online… Am I that out of touch? 😅 The moment I stepped inside, it felt like entering a whole new world! 🌍✨ We visited Kura Sushi Revolving Sushi Bar in Naperville, a popular Japanese chain with locations across the U.S. 🏙️ As soon as we walked in, rows of seats lined the moving conveyor belt—plates of sushi gliding by right in front of us! You just grab whatever catches your eye… though by the time they reached us, most plates were already empty 😂💔. 📍 1211 E Ogden Ave Suite 101, Naperville, IL 60563 🎢 Ordering & Tech Magic Besides relying on luck with the passing plates, you can also order directly from the iPad at your seat 🖥️. The conveyor has two levels: the lower one carries circulating sushi, while the top lane is reserved for custom orders—super easy to tell apart! Soon after ordering, you’ll hear a “ding-dong” 🛎️, and a cute little “delivery train” zooms by to drop your sushi right at your table. So futuristic and fun! 🚂🌟 🍣 Our Favorites We stuck with the classics—Salmon and Tuna 🐟❤️. The freshness was decent, smooth and satisfying! We skipped the Yellowtail because the color didn’t look too fresh to us… 👀 💰 Unique Payment System Pricing is based on plate count! After finishing each plate, you drop it into a slot at your table—it feels like playing a game 🎮! Every few plates, a cute animation plays on the iPad as a reward! 🎉📺 But… I realized conveyor belt sushi might not be for me—probably won’t go back. 😬 I often ended up eating only the fish and leaving most of the rice behind… by the end, I had a whole mountain of discarded rice on my plate. I feel so guilty—sorry, Grandpa Yuan Longping! 😭🍚 #Foodie #Sushi #ConveyorBeltSushi #Naperville #ChicagoEats #ChicagoLife #WindyCity
