Find Things to DoFind The Best Restaurants

No wonder it's considered the best Thai restaurant in Chicago!🥹

I’ve been craving Thai food lately and realized I hadn’t tried JJThai yet. Friends had raved about it, and I went on Valentine’s Day. It was as delicious as they said! We ordered a lot, but we almost finished everything. The restaurant had a very lively and warm atmosphere. You can only make reservations by phone, not online, so I suggest going early to avoid waiting. None of the dishes or desserts we tried were disappointing. You can order exactly what I list below: 1️⃣ Green Papaya Salad 🫒 If this dish is good, it usually means the restaurant is authentic! The green papaya is crisp and sweet, and the dressing is tangy and sweet, making it very refreshing. 2️⃣ Crispy Fried Tofu 🥡 I was surprised— the fried tofu was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It was highly recommended by my friend. The dipping sauce is a Thai sweet and sour sauce, which pairs perfectly with the tofu! 3️⃣ Tom Yum Goong 🦴 How could you not order Tom Yum Goong when eating Thai food? This restaurant only has this one type of soup. It comes in a small bowl, not a large portion. We each had a small bowl among the three of us. It’s tangy, spicy, and has three shrimp in it. It’s really delicious. 4️⃣ Roast Chicken 🍗 It’s probably half a roast chicken. The chicken is very crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The dipping sauce that comes with it is also very tasty and not greasy at all. 5️⃣ Crab Fried Rice 🦀 My friend specifically wanted to try this! It’s very fragrant and has a lot of crab meat. Even though my friend and I usually don’t eat much rice, we both had two large bowls. It was that good. #ThaiFood #StudentEats #ChicagoFood #ChicagoThaiCuisine #ChicagoThaiFood
