Norway🇳🇴 Tromsø Restaurant Guide 🍴
▪️ 1. Scandic Ishavshotel Breakfast – If you're torn about where to stay, Scandic is a great choice! I stayed in their sea-view room for five nights and loved it. The hotel breakfast is amazing—fish cakes and croissants were especially delicious, plus they serve freshly brewed coffee. Felt like saving 300 RMB/day on breakfast! A hearty meal before excursions is a must! ▪️ 2. Pastafabrikken – My first meal in Tromsø! Loved their rich, flavorful pasta 🍝—the prawns were juicy, and the Caesar salad was great (though the croutons were a bit hard). ⭐4/5, requires booking, ~300+ RMB/person. ▪️ 3. Nitty Gritty – Duck heart and Iberian pork were decent, but the steak was excellent (go for medium-well, or they’ll default to rare). ⭐3.8/5, reservations needed, ~400+ RMB/person (price depends on meat selection). ▪️ 4. Egon – Lots of options but nothing outstanding. Not as good as Nitty Gritty. ⭐3.5/5, walk-ins okay, ~400+ RMB/person. ▪️ 5. Fiskekompaniet – Top choice for seafood! King crab, oysters, and cod were all fresh and delicious. The fish soup is a must-try—rich and flavorful, served with amazing bread. ⭐4.3/5, reservations needed, ~500+ RMB/person (more if ordering premium seafood). ▪️ 6. "The Best Hotdogs in the World" 🌭 – Tried the reindeer and beef hotdogs—sour-ish sauce (typical Nordic style). Interesting layers of flavor, worth trying! ⭐4/5, always a queue, 70 NOK each. ▪️ 7. Northernmost McDonald's 🍟 – Packed with fellow Chinese travelers (felt like home lol). Postcards were always sold out. Tastes similar to China, good value. ⭐3.5/5, ~100 RMB/person. ▪️ 8. Nice to Meet You (Bubble Tea) 🧋 – Tried two drinks: Crème Brûlée Pearl Milk Tea (recommended!)—caramelized sugar flavor was rich and satisfying. The Taro Bobo was a miss—tasted like powdered taro milk tea, and the "taro paste" was lumpy. ⭐Mixed reviews, ~70+ RMB/drink. ▪️ 9. Grocery Tips 🛒 – If cooking, head to EUROSPAR or Coop—make sure to buy "SUSHI GRADE" for raw consumption. Craving instant noodles? Normal sells Shin Ramyun (other supermarkets don’t stock them). Normal is fun to browse—snacks, toiletries, kinda like KKV in China! 🫶 #Norway #FoodPlog #TravelGuide #NordicFood
