Road Trip | South Carolina’s Mountain-Top Chapel & Greenville
“I will lift up my eyes to the hills” 📍 Pretty Place Chapel First, check the schedule on the YMCA Camp Greenville website to confirm opening hours. After driving nearly 40 minutes on winding mountain roads, we finally arrived at this beautiful chapel. Every stone pillar here feels like a natural picture frame 🖼️—the distant mountains and “sea of clouds” blur softly through the mist. After the rain, gentle breezes carried the fresh scents of earth and grass, creating a peaceful atmosphere with breathtaking views. 📍 Greenville Zoo You can finish exploring it in 1-2 hours! My favorites were the red pandas, the giraffes 🦒 (they walked toward me both times I passed by, and we locked eyes for ages), and the sloths 🦥. There was a guide next to the sloth enclosure who gave explanations—and even did a feeding demo during the visit. So cute! Before leaving, we took a city walk along Greenville’s main street. The street was clean and charming; personally, it gave me vibes similar to Saratoga. There was an event happening on the weekend, making it super lively 🎉. 📍 Falls Park on the Reedy The waterfall in the park is stunning, and it’s incredibly pleasant to walk around there 🌊. For dinner, we went to the popular The Jones Oyster Co. We ordered the lobster roll and fried rice—both tasted great 👍. On weekends, you’ll probably wait around 40 minutes for a table during peak meal times. #USRoadTrip #SouthCarolina #SC #MountainTopChapel #SouthCarolinaMountainChapel #Greenville
