Scofflaw — East-Meets-West Cocktail Bar

Scofflaw is a cozy, vibe-heavy bar in Logan Square. I’d planned to eat at nearby Giant (love their pasta!), but it was full — so I walked into Scofflaw instead. Turned out to be a happy accident. 🍹 Liar’s Spritz (Non-Alc) – Basically an Aperol spritz minus the booze — citrusy, slightly bitter, refreshing. 🫓 Chicken Scallion Pancake – Not the Chinese-style pancake I expected — more like a quesadilla with Monterey Jack cheese and spicy chicken. Served with slaw — tasty and light. 🍗 Butter Chicken – Crispy chicken breast with spicy curry sauce — way better than the usual stewed version. 🍔 House Burger – Solid, Moonlighter-adjacent drunk food — reliable and satisfying. 🍠 Sweet Potato Panna Cotta – On the house! Topped with toasted brown rice — not too sweet, great texture. The food was good, but the service was excellent. Snagged the table by the door — perfect for rainy-day people-watching.
