Seattle | Summer Day Trip to a Coastal Town
๐ Edmonds, WA Edmonds has always been my favorite small town near Seattle! It has beaches ๐๏ธ, great restaurants, crabbing ๐ฆ, fishing ๐ฃ, squid fishing ๐ฆ, ferry rides ๐ข, and plenty of cute shops. ๐ Marina Beach Park A fantastic seaside park where you can bring your dog ๐ถ to Off Leash Area Edmondsโa large, open off-leash park right by the water. Many dogs love running into the sea! The area is unshaded and can be sunny, but the park itself has plenty of trees ๐ฒ perfect for setting up a hammock. ๐ Edmonds Fishing Pier An ideal spot for stunning sunsets! In the summer, street performers often create giant bubbles, which kids love ๐. The pier is also famous for crabbing, fishing, and squid fishingโjust remember not to leave crab pots overnight! ๐ Port of Edmonds Take a ferry to nearby islands like Bainbridge or to Olympic National Park ๐๏ธ. ๐ Teri's Toybox Stroll along Edmonds' main street and explore charming shops like this one, known for its wide selection of Jellycat toys. Spend an hour wandering the downtown area! Highly Recommended Restaurants ๐ด: ๐ Ono Authentic Hawaiian Poke Always packed! The line often stretches around the block, but itโs worth it. The poke tastes authentically Hawaiianโat least 80% as good as the best poke spots in Hawaii! The lychee drink is also delicious. ๐ MARKET Seafood Eatery Famous for its Lobster Rollโa well-known Seattle staple. No need for more introductions! Pro tip: Order online to skip the wait. ๐ Ristorante Machiavelli A family-style Italian pasta restaurant ๐ฎ๐น. Not widely known but absolutely amazing! #SeattleDayTrip #EdmondsWA #CoastalTown #Seafood #Poke #TravelWashington
