The Drop In — Chicago’s New Must-Try Burger Spot 🍔

As mentioned in my last post, after finishing Sushi by Scratch downstairs, I walked past the kitchen on the ground floor and was hit with the incredible aroma of grilling meat and melted cheese — instantly reminded of The Menu and craving a burger! So I dragged my husband back over the weekend just for that. The bar outside says it’s the “home of the NADC burger” — turns out that stands for “Not A Damn Chance.” And the menu only has burgers and fries — a confident move by the chefs!😍💕 This burger was created by Chef Philip (from the downstairs sushi spot) and his skateboarding buddies. It’s made with Texas-raised Wagyu beef, secret sauce, grilled onions, pickles, and jalapeños — and yes, it’s seriously good.😂😘 You can tell it’s a smash burger — thin patties, cooked through but juicy and full of flavor. Not for rare-lovers, but packed with savory, beefy richness. 🧅🔥 Fries come in two styles: regular or “Beast Mode” — which is basically animal-style fries loaded with burger toppings and special sauce. Messy but tasty! Though honestly, even the regular fries were a bit salty. Also, they don’t serve ketchup — instead, there’s a house-made secret dipping sauce with a tangy, smoky, slightly sweet flavor. Definitely give it a try!
