🗼 Tokyo 6-Day 5-Night Super Detailed Travel Guide ✈️

It's been nearly 2 months since I returned from Japan, and I've carefully organized our 6-day 5-night itinerary in Tokyo. For those who are too lazy to make a travel plan, just copy this one! ⭐️ Preparations Before Going to Japan Visa: Single entry simplified on 🍑 for 198r per person. Yen: Many places in Tokyo offer exchange rate discounts for WX payments. I exchanged 90,000 yen and ended up with 20,000 left over. SIM Card: Bought a 7-day 10GB card on 🍑, which was enough, as there's public wifi in many places. Apps: Download Navitime for transit, Google Maps, Papago for translation, and Tabelog for food. ⭐️ Transportation Flights: We traveled from 7.14 to 7.20, on a red-eye flight. Summer is peak season, so prices are higher than usual. Try to book 2 months in advance. We bought tickets from Peach Airlines for 2200rmb round trip, which wasn't too expensive. If you plan to buy a lot in Japan, make sure to get checked luggage on your return, as they check very strictly 😅. Suica Card: It's recommended to preload 4000 yen. In Tokyo, consider buying a JR Pass for 760 yen per day, which I think is better than the 72-hour subway ticket. Since we also visited Izu, Kamakura, and Mt. Fuji 🗻, buying consecutive 72-hour tickets might be a bit wasteful. Plus, the subway ticket only covers Toei lines, and transfers can be a hassle. With a JR Pass, you can cover most places with the Yamanote line. ⭐️ Accommodation We stayed in Akihabara, which I think offers great value for money. The average cost per person for 5 nights was 1300rmb. There's a Lawson and 711 nearby, and it's a 10-minute walk 🚶‍♀️ to the otaku paradise ❤️. We had a twin room, and the hotel on the first floor offered free luggage storage and umbrella borrowing. ⭐️ Sights Since we only had 6 days and also visited Kamakura and Izu, our itinerary was packed, perfect for those who like an intense travel schedule 🙉. 1️⃣ Senso-ji Temple - Tokyo Skytree - Akihabara - Ginza Akihabara is a paradise for otaku😍. Those who want to buy cheap goods should explore this area thoroughly; they usually set up in the afternoon/evening and close at 8:00 PM. Senso-ji Temple and Ginza are also great for shopping. Japan is truly clean, and the service is excellent; no wonder it's popular among tourists. 2️⃣ Ōshima - Enoshima - Shibuya The matcha-colored Ōshima is stunning and very photogenic. It's recommended to rent a car 🚘 because the round trip from Tokyo takes about 6 hours, which is very time-consuming. The night view from Shibuya Sky is also impressive. 3️⃣ Odaiba - Shimbashi - Imperial Palace - Ginza - Kabukicho 4️⃣ Kamakura Station - Gokurakuji - Kamakura High School Station - Enoshima - Yuigahama Fireworks Festival 🎆 5️⃣ Ikebukuro - Shinjuku - Sugamo - Tokyo Tower 🗼 Kiddyland in Harajuku didn't have as many cute items as I expected, and the area was quite small, which was a bit disappointing 😭. Chiikawaland in Ikebukuro and Skytree was good. 6️⃣ On the last day, we mainly shopped. Since the visibility of Mt. Fuji 🗻 was low these days, we didn't go. You can plan a day trip to Mt. Fuji if the visibility is good; check the Fuji forecast. ⭐️ Food 🍜 Use Tabelog to find restaurants; it's an app used by locals and has strict ratings. Anything above 3.4 is usually very tasty, and above 4 is basically Michelin quality. Due to space limitations, I'll do a special post on Tokyo's food later 🥳. #JapanTravel #TokyoTravel #Tokyo #Kamakura #Akihabara #Chiikawa
