Traveled Far and Wide for Chicago’s Flaky, Crispy Scallion Pancake 🥹
This Chicago spot has never let me down when bringing friends — whether they’re from the South or North, everyone leaves impressed. The scallion pancake is a must-order signature. Over the past year, I’ve lost count of how many I’ve eaten — it’s basically my Chicago comfort canteen.😍💕 Especially when eaten fresh in-house — one bite and the buttery, crispy layers burst in your mouth, the aroma rushing right up — never gets old!! Honestly, you can order anything here without disappointment, but this time I was blown away by the Crispy Fried Chicken — everyone at the table agreed it was amazing.😊👍 I usually don’t love fried meat in Chinese restaurants, but this was seriously fragrant and well-seasoned.😘 The Guobaorou (sweet & sour pork) and Sauerkraut with Frozen Tofu & Pork Belly are classic Northeastern dishes done right — Northeastern cuisine fans, go for it! My Northeastern friend loved them, but I personally preferred the Spicy Fried Ribs — fried to lock in the juices, so tasty! Don’t forget their soy milk — I’ve been drinking it from summer through winter, and it’s consistently good. So, fellow Chicago foodies — what’s your go-to “Chicago canteen” spot?
