Ukrainian 🌸 Pink Burger Only Found in Chicago
Let me introduce one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago, Tryzub Ukrainian Kitchen. This place is a rare gem that combines elegant presentation with affordable, hearty portions. It preserves traditional Ukrainian dishes while infusing them with creative twists, making the dining experience truly delightful. 🌟 As the name suggests (Tryzub means Ukrainian trident), the restaurant strongly emphasizes its Ukrainian cultural heritage. Not only do they donate a portion of their proceeds to Ukraine, but the prices of all dishes are also set according to significant years in Ukrainian history. The tables are even filled with historical facts about Ukraine, offering a unique experience of learning while dining. 📚 I've dined here twice. Except for the brunch dish featured in the second photo, all other dishes can be found on the regular dinner menu. It's worth noting that the restaurant uses oil very sparingly (in a good way), making it a great option for those looking to cut down on fat. 🥗 MVP of the Menu: ❤︎ Beet Hummus & Fermented Veggies Buckwheat Burger The name alone is intriguing, and the taste is even more fascinating. This vegan burger features a buckwheat patty infused with beets, topped with a pink beet hummus that’s tangy and refreshing. The patty has a greenish hue from the vegetables and buckwheat, offering a double dose of carb satisfaction. While it’s not as firm as a meat patty, the slightly crumbly texture adds a unique charm, especially when the filling and sauce burst with each bite. A must-try for those who love experimenting with new flavors! 🍔 ❤︎ Salmon Crepes (Squid Ink Infused) Thin slices of cured salmon lox are paired with cream cheese, salmon caviar, and squid ink crepes. The combination of flavors and textures is layered and light, making it an excellent brunch option. 🥢 Recommended Dishes: • Crispy Potato Pancakes • Ukrainian Borscht • Kimchi Cabbage Rolls • Beef Goulash • Chocolate Coffee Walnut Torte #ChicagoFood #Burger #Foodie #ChicagoExplore #UkrainianCuisine #ChicagoBurger #FoodWithoutBorders
