What Have Chicago International Students Been Eating Lately? 🤔

Long time no update!! Here’s a quick share of what I’ve been eating with friends amid the busy student life lately — plus some highly recommended spots I didn’t snap pics of! 📸✨ 🍖 336 Korean BBQ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The most satisfying Korean BBQ I’ve had in Chicago so far! Heard their pork is famous, but we actually loved the beef even more. Their banchan (side dishes) are plentiful, and the complimentary soup is delicious. Two people can easily get full with three types of meat! 🥤 Te Amo ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Checked out Evanston’s new bubble tea shop on its second day open! The ube matcha was a pleasant surprise, though a tad sweet. Heard their coconut pudding is great — definitely trying that next time! 🥥💜 🍳 Allis ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thought it’d be a classic “white people brunch” spot, but the shakshuka and blueberry pancakes were pretty good! Not a must-visit, but a nice occasional treat. 🍦 Cold Stone The Cookie Dough Waffle Ice Cream is my ultimate comfort food — though it can get a bit heavy after a while. ☕️ Beatrix ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As a busy student-worker, I love their hot bar — so many tasty options! This time I tried their fusion brunch: the burger was decent, and the mushroom teriyaki bowl had full-on Asian flavors. Their coffee is unique too — I’ll probably be back! 🥐 Mindy‘s ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The most delightful bakery in Wicker Park!! The week I left, I kept telling everyone about their banana bread au lait and chocolate au lait 😍 Will definitely return to try their breakfast croissants, bagels, and other pastries! 💖 Bayan Ko Diner ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (No photo, but a total favorite!) A Filipino & Cuban fusion spot that totally won over my Asian taste buds. Highly recommend their small bites and fried rice — can’t wait to go back! Happy exploring & eating! 🍽️💫 #ChicagoEats #ChicagoFood #ExploreChicago #NorthwesternUniversity #AsianFoodLover
