Winter Sunset at the Adler Planetarium in Chicago 🏟😅

🔭 I visited the planetarium during my short stay in Chicago last month, and it turned out to be a hidden gem for me—a delightful little surprise✨! 🔭 Braving the minus-10-degree weather, I ventured out to the planetarium, only to be greeted by an exceptionally beautiful sky! My shivering, frozen hands couldn't stop snapping photos, and I regretted not having a proper camera with me. The endless expanse of Lake Michigan and the agate-like sunset hues instantly reminded me of my trip to Taihu Lake two winters ago. The difference here was the eerie silence (it was so cold that hardly anyone was around). 🔭 The content inside the planetarium was also right up my alley. There were interactive quizzes and educational exhibits about astrological charts. My favorite part was an interactive screen where I could add celestial bodies to my own universe and simulate their orbital paths and the creation process of my cosmos. It reminded me so much of Liu Cixin's "The Time Migration"—this was like a cosmic simulator! If everything adheres to the laws of physics, is it truly possible to recreate the same universe we inhabit? Though many consider this planetarium small, I found it packed with substantial content. I ended up having a blast playing around it, surrounded by a group of kids. 🌟P.S. On Wednesdays from 4-10 pm, it's free for Illinois residents! #WinterSunset #ChicagoLife #AdlerPlanetariumChicago
