Me and my family have been going here for 8 years even when it was just a small buissness with a few tables. They have never disappointed, it’s an open kitchen variety of traditional authentic albanian stews and cuisine. The food here is homemade and clearly made with love kudos to the family who run the business and friendly waiter I believe he is also the son. Disregard misunderstood reviews below, the foods is seasoned to normal extent ( If you want to season it even more, you have seasoning tray at every table like you would have at any restaurant, it is human common sense to attempt to use these… which like me I have and haven’t need to it’s down fo personal prefference). The salad like any restaurant in Albania is not and you have to season it yourself, this is just standard. The food is bugdet friendly and has always been presented fresh here. Which is more than I can say for some luxury/ high end - restaurant in Albanialbania. If your looking original traditional Albanian dishes of previous and older generations even dating back before the soviet era. This place has it. To learn about it I think it’s important to have on your Itinerary to try a gjelltore to learn about the culture here…...
Read moreUnbelievable good traditional Albanian restaurant!!!!! 10/10 Stars
We ordered : a) Beef Gulasch (Tasqebap - 350lek) + steamed rice (Pilaf - 100lek) b) Fried cow's brain (Tru Vici - 800lek) + baked potatoes (patate furre - 150lek) c) 2 beers ( served in a 0,5ml bottle - 180lek)
For the small prices, the food came in big portions and it was delicious. But we like it a lil it a bit saltier and spicier, just add more salt and ask the service for chilli. I don't know how to describe the Gulasch taste, but surely it's completely different from Germany. The cow's brain was crazy good with a squid of lemon juice on top. The bread basket really went with the Tirana beer, just keep snacking and drinking it together! Service was nice and the kitchen staff were really friendly too:) I really recommend coming here and trying some traditional Albanian food!!!! Don't need reservations, lots of tables free and they put on air conditioning, in case you sweat while eating in this hot weather;)

Read moreVery nice service, many thanks to a young waiter who served us quickly and speaks good English, so there were no communication problems at all. As to the food we loved both soups, traditional pace and the goulash soup as well. The rest of the food was a bit more disappointing, the lamb&yogurt casserole was more like a soup than a casserole, we tried it and didn’t like it at all.. in other places it looks more like a pie, it’s more firm and with more flavor. Spinach with meat was nice but nothing we would get crazy about, the same potato and meat dish. As for the soup I would come back to Iri, but to have a proper meal I need places with stronger flavors and more...
