I wish I could give zero stars. After more than an hour of waiting and watching six other tables seated after us be served, we finally got up and left. I wanted to believe that the low star reviews were just impatient people on busy nights. I was mistaken. I have worked in restaurants and fully understand how easy it is to get frazzled or overwhelmed. The easy solution to all of this is to decrease the number of tables or increase staff. At least if there's a slow line outside, you know how long your wait is likely to be. This was not the case.
From the beginning, it was a mess. The staff was setting out more tables along the sidewalk, which they were clearly not equipped to handle; there were only two staff taking orders for the entire place and they were both literally running from table to table. As we were seated at one of the newly set up sidewalk tables, the table beside us ordered, and the waiter turned to quickly drop their menu on our table. That's the closest we came to service for the next hour.
Table by table, more than a dozen people were seated and made oders, receiving at the very least drinks--if not their meal--before we were approached by the waiter who asked if we'd like to see a menu. Rather than ordering, we directed the waiter to the table that had been seated before us, who at that point had also not been approached by a waiter. Their frustration, as ours, was obvious. After waiting another 10 minutes, we continued to be ignored by the wait staff and so got up and left. An hour to ask if a table wants a menu? You've got to be kidding me.
The food may have been good, as others have stated, but nothing can make up for the abysmal service. Save yourself the trouble and just go to one of the other lovely places nearby that don't make you wait forever without even acknowledging...

Read moreWe read the nice reviews this restaurant has and decided to have a dinner here even though the setting is a bit off (behind some comunist grey blocks) thinking that a nice meal will compensate. The place has no menu so it was a challenge to place an order. We waited for two hours for a portion of grilled shrimp and a portion of grilled squid and a greek salad. The greek salad was awful. The tomatoes were completely green (see the photo) and it had four small cubes of cheese and huge chunks of onion. The waiter that served us did not speek any foreign languages (we speak English, German, Italian, Hungarian, Romanian and French but this did not help) so it was a great challenge to talk to him. When asking how much longer our order will be and why clients seated after us got their orders much faster he was not able to give us an amswer, just ignored us. In the end he lied saying that people ordered over the phone. We asked them and they did not. People around us were also unpleased that they did not receive their complete orders or they they got it very late. Because of the awful service, tables did not get cleaned and stayed full of garbage for some time (more than half an hour). See the photos for how disgusting this was. Also, the garbage bins are in the middle of the restaurant, right next to the refrigerator with drinks. Again - disgusting and unsafe. I do not recommend this place to anyone. It is a joke. Come here if you want to ruin your night like we did. The only thing I am wondering is why we stayed. The food in the end was mediocre: simple shrimp and calamari on the grill, no sides available, only bread and the salad uneatable. We ate it because we were so hungry. The order was about 30 euros- not cheaper than other places offering the...
