Bar Restorant Korali Ksamil — Restaurant in Bashkia Sarandë

We have visited the restaurant for dinner and we had an awful experience. We have ordered the fried squid, mussels and a beer for my partner. After 5 minutes the mussels came, without the squid, which is weird as my partner had to wait for my food to come, so he can start eating. A few minutes later, the squid came as well, we also asked what is going on with the beer we have ordered. The waiter apologised and said he is going to bring it. Food was blant and tasteless, squid was not even cooked, we left half of the plate as it was uneatable, mussels not cleaned properly, and the sauce was just vinegar. We almost finished with the food and the beer was still not served so we asked once again for the beer and a portion of chips so we can have something for dinner as it was too late to go to another place. The beer finally came after asking for it three times and waiting half an hour. Obviously a busy place but way understaffed and unprofessional. The worst experience so far I had during my week long at Ksamil. I walked and wanted to sit at the available table sea view and was told the table is for 6 people, even though it had Only 4 chairs! Another couple was sitting next to that table and the other table had 6 chairs. So we sat where they wanted us to sit and ordered the food. Then I asked the waiter if we could changed the table (the food still had not arrived) to one next to sea view but they asked us if we had ordered the food. After I had yes I did they refused citing that because we ordered the food they are unable to swap tabled. Yeah, go figure. Anyway once the food finally arrived I received a very small portion of chicken shish kebab and about five french fries for 900L! I ordered extra vegtables and they brought us grilled and over cooked green peppers! The waiters are very unhelpfull to every customer that was there that night, and I just hope they are not rude like this every day, especially after customers pay overprice for small portion of overcooked food. I will never visit this restaurant again and I can only advise you to think twice before you spend your hardearned money...

We were very disappointed with this place. While the view was beautiful, the food did not meet expectations, especially considering the price.

We ordered the seafood risotto, which was just okay—nothing special. The mixed seafood platter, however, was a major disappointment.

Everything was overcooked: the shrimp, squid, and salmon were dry and rubbery, the mussels were not fresh and had a gooey texture, and the overall dish lacked flavor. The fish was below average, and we left around 70% of the plate untouched.

When we mentioned the issues to our waiter, we were offered a complimentary mussels platter—but unfortunately, that was also poorly prepared. Despite our concerns, we were still charged the full bill, and no manager or owner came to speak with us. The waiter was polite but clearly not empowered to handle complaints or offer any compensation.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place, especially for seafood. It’s also overpriced, especially when compared to other restaurants in Albania, where we’ve had...
