Poda Lounge Bar — Restaurant in Bashkia Sarandë

Me and my friend rented a VIP cabana with a sea net early October 2023. The price we paid for a VIP cabana was €60 and we had it for a full day. They were comfortable and clean but no towels provided, luckily we brought our own. We ordered non alcoholic mock-tail drinks that were €10 each. Drinks were too expensive. The beach is beautiful, crystal clear and clean. It wasn’t too packed and were less people because it wasn’t high season and I had the most relaxing time ever on the cabanas. The VIP zone with cabanas did get full by 11am. We arrived after 8am when they opened. I asked this man if we can rent the cabana but he looked confused and told us the guy who’s in charge isn’t here yet. So me and my friend just went to the VIP cabana sections ourselves and after half an hour this man came over to take payment which is cash only. He didn’t say hello or anything, just told us the price but was quite rude when asking for payment. He definitely did not have good customer service skills. However, a different man came over to us for drinks and he made us nice mock-tails and was very friendly. I would recommend visiting Poda, it’s an amazing beach club for the ultimate relaxation. Especially the VIP cabanas, it is expensive but it’s worth it for a full day. They also have sun loungers on the beach but I’m not sure how much they cost. My advice would be to get to Poda early between 8-9am so you can get the best VIP cabana beds with sea net. There’s a Poda restaurant too but we didn’t try the food in there as it’s very expensive so we left our towels and sun hats on the cabana and decided to get pizza from down the road, ate there and came back to our cabana. Let's start with the fact that you cannot go to Ksamil Beach without reservation to any of the bars. If it's your first day and you don't know that - sorry, you won't like the experience. The staff usually don't speak English and in most of the places they won't even try to find something for you. Let's go back to PODA Beach bar - here there is no difference, you cannot visit the place without booking sunbeds. As in our case even if you do, there is the chance to be sitted wrongly and the people who are here for "10 days an d these are our places" will be absolutely rude because probably they don't communicate often with normal people and ofcorse they don't know how to. In this case the "staff" won't interfere at all and will just let it happen. They don't bother with the wellbeing of their customers - it's not their job. When you tell them you pay equally as their VIP 10 DAYS Guests (obviously their money worths more then yours) and the sunbed is broken and you want to be replaced, they will try to convince you the bed is absolutely OK even if its not. When you ask for the manager, such is not available. As a frequent traveler I would say this was the worst experience I had and I don't recommend this...

Worst place I have ever been, they have a minimum spending if you want to seat in a better view, 30€ per person, ok with those prices a main and a drink are almost that, but the waiter seemed like he was high on something, it took almost 30minutes to brink a bottle of wine, beer and water, we ordered a Coke Zero that we needed to remind him 5 times until he brought it and it wasn’t even a Coke Zero, the cocktail were even later and so watery, our food was wrong, he brought 2 of the same and forgot one dish that arrived after everyone else had finish their food, some of the dishes were very bland and some too salty, the risotto was not al dente it was undercooked and the chicken was chewy, after they cleared our plates they brought a fruit bowl and we asked if it was free because we didn’t ordered that and he said yes, 5 minutes later he comes back and says it wasn’t for us, it was another table that ordered and if we touched it or not because he was just going to take it like that to the other table, we asked for the bill and if we didn’t check it first they would have made us pay for the extra plate that we didn’t ordered, rude and unprofessional staff.
