Albanians will know so this review is for the foreign tourists:
The draught beer is Korça, and it’s good. I recommend the smaller pints otherwise your beer will get warm faster with the larger ones.
The grilled lamb and baby goat meat/ribs are very good. The tzatziki is fantastic as is just the yogurt sauce itself 🤤. The meatballs are that, but bazaar/street style (qofte pazari). Home made ones are round/oval and pan fried. These are elongated and grilled (see photo). They have a distinct taste due to the recipe being a bit different than the homemade ones. I prefer this style. They are fantastic here at this restaurant (tasty and juicy). Typically they’re served with onion bread and salt mixed with paprika, but here the plate comes with tzatziki, fries, some onion, tomato and cucumber, plus bread.
Can’t go wrong getting qofte with the grilled ribs(0.5kg) and beers for two people, it’s enough food. I recommend to try a raki shot (or shots, I had 3) to sip with the meat. The raki is made in the south, not home made, though it’s good nonetheless. It goes well with some cheese too, as it’s done in Albania.
The service was pleasant. The restaurant is in a quieter part of the city, but you can walk down from there to the promenade in 5-10 mins depending on how fast you...
Read moreWe had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. We were staying at a nearby hotel and decided to go out for dinner with my girlfriend. On our first visit, we tried a mixed dish with fish and steak. Everything was cooked to perfection, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to come back the next week when we were in Sarande again. On our second visit, we ordered the octopus, and it was absolutely perfect: tender, flavourful, and simply delicious. The service was excellent on both occasions, very attentive and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. The Korça beer was served ice-cold and refreshing, pairing wonderfully with the dishes. To top it all off, they surprised us at the end with fresh watermelon, a thoughtful and delightful touch that left us with the best impression. Highly recommended! great food, amazing service, and a warm atmosphere. We will definitely return if we are in...
Read moreNice traditional restaurant just up from the seafront. No frills restaurant with delicious meat dishes. They have a spit outside with a goat maybe lamb and chicken wings in it which was what made me stop and discover this place.
It looks like a family run business as the wait staff were quite young but they got the job done and were friendly & chatty.
I got the half kilo lamb and goat ribs which were done perfectly (€12.50). Nice and juicy. Loved digging in with my hands. I got sides of big green salad (€3) & fries (€2.50), which looked a bit pale but in fact was delicious. They gave complimentary bread with the meal.
Very reasonable prices. Half liter wine was €6. They also gave me 2 shots of rakiyre too. One for the meat and another as...
