Rosso Pomodoro — Restaurant in Hydra

This restaurant is situated in a nice calm area away from the main street. It's beautiful on the inside and offers a small terrace with nice decorations throughout. The service was nice and fast. I decided to go for a simple pizza since it's an Italian restaurant and it disappointed me. The batter was more of a tortilla that was chewier and harder to separate. The tomato sauce and especially the cheese were very good nonetheless. I also got a tiramisu and it was much better, I would recommend it if it wasn't a whopping 600da for such a small quantity. The prices are a bit high here and the menus are outdated so you'd get a higher price once you go pay, but I noticed that the customers were regulars. Excellent pizza, not cheap, poor location and service! Not a restaurant but more like a fastfood: average seating, confine spaces and absolutely no parking! Service is poor: you feel like in a canteen with the mad cook serving you what you deserve whether you like it or not. The owners are arrogant and do not seems to know what serving a customer means. Déception totale. Attirés par les story appétissantes et "conviviales", nous décidons d'aller bruncher en famille. Manque de personnel. Nous avons dû attendre plus de 15 mn pour que quelqu'un vienne débarrasser la table des clients précédents. Le Mr qui prenait les commandes au buffet était d'une mauvaise humeur fracassante. Visage dépité, il ne manquait plus qu'on s'excuse d'être venus chez lui... Nous avons beaucoup attendu pour être servis. Pâtes Arrabiata au thon en conserve à la tomate, c'est dommage une telle infamie. Le fromage des pizzas etait de qualité, et les mini croissants/bagel étaient bons aussi. Je ne reviendrai pas chez le rosso qui a beaucoup travaillé pour avoir un nom, malheureusement l'expérience client fut désastreuse. Mr le gérant : quand on sort, on veut passer un moment agréable, se faire servir, manger, dépenser son argent et se sentir bien.
