Let me start off by saying the food is awesome! You can taste how fresh the seafood is. I truly think it was the best octopus I’ve ever had! The staff is lovely- we don’t speak Portuguese but they still tried very hard to understand us and they were always there is you needed another drink or help in general.
My main issue was the bill. The price that one item was listed at when we ordered was mysteriously higher on the bill. They claimed that was always the price but luckily we had the menu page loaded on the phone to prove they changed it while we were dining. Also they give you a bread basket and a few slices of prosciutto when you sit down- we mistakingly thought it was included… it is not. The basket of bread is only 1,300 so no big deal but the prosciutto is 11,000 per plate (three pieces or so). That’s a bit high of a price to not explain it is not included.

Service is great except for a couple of negatives. Most waiters were polite and attentive while one particular waiter was loud and chatty and insisted on a tip several times which is off putting. Finally when I was prepared to pay via my Visa card I was told I had to go to the restaurant next door as their machine doesn’t accept VISA. That was fine but the same person from the restaurant took me there and asked me that the charge will be in Euros. Again it was fine but the conversion rate was incorrect and they asked me to pay 3 dollars more which I refused and paid by cash.
