Cadore Gelato Artigianale — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

This is regarded as one of the best gelaterias on the planet. I'm always skeptical about lists declaring "best of" anything, but I think Nat Geo might have a point here!

That gelato here is fantastic. That's speaking as someone that has spent much time in Italy. I'd be happy to eat their chocolate any time. It's rich, decadent, but not bitter or overly sweet. The strawberry is a beautiful puree of fresh fruit that's delicious. The maracuya (passion fruit) is something you don't find much of outside of South America but you will love here! For $4 or less you can order up to 1/4 kilo of ice cream. It's a steal for the price. There will be a line out the door but it's fast moving and worth any wait.

Heladería Cadore in Buenos Aires left us absolutely delighted with their delectable gelatos. Each spoonful was a journey back to Italy, reminiscent of the authentic flavors we savored there.

The "Super Tres Leches" flavor was an absolute standout, boasting an intensely rich dulce de leche taste that lived up to its "super" name. The authenticity of the flavors truly impressed us.

Having enjoyed a lot of different ice-creams throughout Argentina we were very keen on „tasting“ Cadore. Unfortunately, we were disappointed and that‘s why I gave only three stars. The Ice-cream was actually good, but not outstanding. The service was terrible. From the cashier to the „gelateros“ all of the employees seemed bored and not interested in attending the customers. It seemed to us that they did not at all care whether or not they have customers and preferred to type on their mobile phones in the back. I don’t know how this place got a National Geographic Award. I would not recommend this place, there are other gelaterias in BA who serve equal or even better ice-cream quality and where you actually feel welcomed.
