After exploring the Museo Nacional de Arte Decorativo, my family stopped at the on-site café, Croque Madame — and it turned out to be one of our favourite places in Buenos Aires. We sat on the terrace, nestled among fountains and cobblestone paths, right at the foot of the museum’s entrance. The setting felt both peaceful and vibrant, with just the right amount of buzz.
The food was classic French comfort. We ordered the Croque Bordeaux and gnocchi souffle de espinaca — both beautifully executed — and my son couldn’t get enough of his langostinos apanados and freshly squeezed orange juice.
One unexpectedly lovely detail? The playlist. It was so good that my husband asked the waiter about it. He kindly shared it with us, and we still play it at home — a little sonic reminder of that perfect afternoon.
Croque Madame isn’t just a convenient stop after the museum — it’s a destination in its own right. Whether you're there for brunch, a leisurely lunch, or just coffee in a gorgeous setting, it’s a must if you’re...

This place is really cool though and you...
Read moreBy far the best steak I had in my life and I've had steak in many different countries. The tender texture of the steak was soft enough that you could use two forks to pull the meat apart. The Malbec with I believe raspberry sauce that accompanied the steak was also heavenly. The experience I had there was unparalleled with the museum of decorative art just few steps away. The architecture of the museum was great to see while dining. My sister and I decided to eat on the patio so of course we had quite a few visit of some local pigeons. Aside from that this place was top notch. I recommend the Campari orange if you like cocktails and for dinner I had the bife Al malbec "a...
