This place was on my bucket list to go to before leaving Argentina after a mere glance at that fried fish and those plantains. The chef is from Camerún and moved to Argentina in 2002. He runs the shop with his partner that he met here. The location is unassuming, surrounded by urban residential apartment buildings. Honestly, it just adds to the vibes and makes you feel special for having found it.

We got:

Well first, they served nice fresh buns that teared apart very nicely. Came with a yummy but very cold salsa

8 chicken wings came with a perfectly spicy salsa. YUM. So crispy and good

Grilled fish with yummy onions and tomatoes that perfectly paired and deliciousssssss plantains. Seriously the plantains were some of the best in my life. I haven’t been able to get my hands on fish here so this meant a lot to me. It was such a fun dish to eat.

Mango limón juice- more like a smoothie and omg it was so good.

Also— very well-priced...

Must visit! Every time I come to Buenos Aires this is the first place I eat. You wouldn’t expect Buenos Aires to have incredible African food and you’d be right in that assumption except for the fact that this restaurant exists. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the world and I’m a world traveler. It is also one of my favorite African restaurants and speaking as an African American from Uganda originally I know what I’m talking about. The owners are amazing Paula and Chef Maxime are incredibly welcoming and make you feel at home. The ambiance is perfect, it makes you feel as if you are in an African home. The music is terrific, and the food is astounding!! I can’t say enough about this place, just GO and try for yourself. Best African food in Buenos Aires hands down. I...

We tried this gem at a food market 8 yrs ago and FINALLY made it back. And wow. Not disappointed at all. The food was just as heavenly as I remembered. The yuca cooked to perfection!! The salsa de mani was tasty and flavorful. The chicken poulete fell off the bone! Meats cooked perfection. The tomato and ajo salsa was so flavorful!! Service was outstanding!! 16 seats inside so best to make a reservation. There are also a few seats outside. Really glad we made the time and effort to revisit. We...
