I only went in because my mom was very tired of walking the entire morning running errands. At first I figured that was a tourist trap, but again my mom needed to rest. Even though the door sign announced Ejecutive Lunch, once we ordered the lunch was not longer available, so we order from the carte. Prices doubled, but I don't mind to pay for good food (I assuming that its hard to find bad food in Buenos Aires) I had Trout (Trucha Patagonica) the dish was poorly presented, fish was at the bottom soacked in a type of water, potatoes and buttersquash on top. My mom had linguini with shrimps. The shrimps were the size of a peanut. This was the WORST food I had ever have in B.A. I would not recommend or comeback. You'll have a better experience eating at Gallerias Pacifico food court for sure. A person that works in the restaurant, was also selling tango shows to tourists that were eating there.

This place is honestly a disappointment. While some establishments put in the effort, this one falls short. The location might seem promising on the outside, but that’s about it. I couldn’t ignore the sticky tables and the uncleared mess. Surprisingly, the staff seemed to outnumber the customers, yet their service didn’t match up. Let’s talk about the drinks—hot chocolate, more like lukewarm disappointment, and I’m convinced the espresso was strained through a tea strainer. As if that wasn’t enough, the staff displayed an unmistakable disdain for customers. Save your time and money, there are far better options out there.

It wasn’t an easy task finding the worst espresso in Buenos Aires, but after a few days of hard work I found it at Caffè Vergnano. This so called espresso tasted more like a wretched old beef broth than coffee. Bitter, watery, and completely undrinkable. And this from a place that proudly claims to have been in business since 1882. How the hell did they manage to keep going this long serving something like that? Save yourself the disappointment. There are many cafés in Buenos Aires that actually know what espresso is supposed to taste like. This is not one of them.

If you want to dine in the company of real Argentine cockroaches - welcome to "Cafe Vergnano" Today 03.12.2024 visited the above-mentioned restaurant. After receiving the order, literally a few minutes later a friendly family of cockroaches appeared on our table, which, judging by their behavior, was planning to join our lunch. The female half of our company naturally reacted very violently to this and began to squeal. This attracted the attention of the waiter. The waiter heroically rushed to smear the cockroaches on the wall in front of our women, which naturally did not calm them down. Of course, there was no talk of continuing the barely started lunch. But the administration held a completely different point of view and forced us to pay in full for the barely started lunch. To my insidious question about tips, the courageous waiter unashamedly offered to add a 10% tip, which we did not pay. But we paid 100% of our order, having managed to eat about 10%. After sitting in the restaurant for about 5 more minutes in the hope of hearing at least some explanation or apology, we left the restaurant without waiting...
