I had my first Argentinian Steak in this restaurant and my dining experience was beyond expectations.
I ordered the Bife de Chorizo and mentioned that the meat cut (450 g) is twice the size that I usually consume.
My steak arrived medium rare and it was SO juicy and flavorful! I finished everything 😊
When the bill came, I realised that the Boss, Javi (who took my order and checked in to see how was the food) heard my concern about the steak size and adjusted the portion accordingly.
4 hours after I left the restaurant, I realised that I left my backpack on the chair. I called them 1.5 hrs after closing time, hoping someone would answer and they did! They confirmed that my backpack was there and that I could go over to get it tonight or the next morning at 11:00 hrs.
I explained that I couldn’t go the next morning (I have a flight to catch) and I couldn’t go tonight (I was afraid of walking to the restaurant late at night). So Emilio BROUGHT MY BACKPACK TO MY HOTEL TO PASS IT TO ME 😄😄😄
I would rate the food as A+ and the overall Customer Service (internally and externally) as A++.
Muchas gracias for the DELICIOUS food and EXCEPTIONAL customer service!!...
Read moreThe Intercontinental hotel recommended this place for a bife de chorizo (NY strip steak). However, for my one visit I was disappointed. The wait was long and when I asked the waitress, she brought me the steak not cooked right (overcooked) as requested and the waitress didn’t know how to handle the situation until finally asking for it to be replaced. The side dishes I ordered got cold and stale waiting for the new steak. Quite a disappointing experience. I know this can be a one-off situation but I can only rate the restaurant based on this experience. Overall the place is modest and if you are looking for a steak, it could be good if you are luckier than me. Edit: after replacing the steak, the flavor was good and the meal was to my liking. The new waiter also offered me a flan as compensation for the inconvenience which I thought was very nice touch. So I’m updating...
Read moreI come to Buenos Aires often for work and always make it a point to visit Javi’s. Not only for the amazing food but also for the wonderful service. I don’t think you will find a place with nicer owners. And you definitely can’t beat the reasonable prices. You can pay in pesos or in US dollars.
As a creature of habit, I always get the filet mignon in the garlic sauce. It comes with fries. The one listed on the menu is massive but they also have a smaller version that isn’t listed. Just ask.
I also order the dulce de leche crepes every single time. So very very good. They also have a smaller portion that isn’t listed on the menu.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Great food at a great price. And owners that value...
