4⭐️ for the venue; 5🌟 for the opera Macbeth

The theatre first opened in the very early 1900s. It gained reputation as the center of popular operas and Spanish zarzuelas especially in the 1930s.

Today, the facade does not look very much, but the interior is quite nice. Very good acoustics. Large hall, though many of seats need updating or replacing.

The production of Verdi’s Macbeth is outstanding. EXCELLENT SINGING ESPECIALLY THE LADY MACBETH CHARACTER (on September 20 performance): big voice, good acting. THE ORCHESTRA WAS JUST AS GOOD (no miscues).

Overall a very good opera experience in...

In November 2023, I went to watch Cinderella. I enjoyed it. The music is beautiful. Remember that this is modern Cinderella and not based on original writing. Be prepared for it. Otherwise, you will not understand a lot of things. I strongly recommend getting the program and reading it before the performance. The performance has three parts and two intermissions. Each part is approximately 40 minutes. The theater is beautiful inside. The seats are very comfortable, and there is much room...

I bought the highest balcony seat and one farthest away from the stage. I was thinking i was going to have to ask the people in front of me what was going on down there. So i basically came with no expectations. I was very pleasantly surprised. Sure you're sitting on a long, uncomfortable, wooden bench. The seat numbers are hard to find. But it was sparsely populated and i enjoyed the show.
