I’m not writing this review with joy… It’s not often I rate the food quality This low, as I’m really a lover of all different foods.
Looking at the reviews beforehand, I thought that I wanted to give it a try. I went here twice, due to an “okay” experience day one. I thought I could give it another chance, since I was in the nearby area day two.
Ambience: I enjoyed the openness in space and the way you could sit close to others if you wanted to, or have a table where you could be more isolated. That is a great thing, and I think other restaurants should take inspiration from that🌟
Staff: The staff is friendly, and once you get contact with them (for e.g. ordering), they are quick with responding and getting what you want.
The food: While the environment is cosy and welcoming, the food disappointed me. The bread that was served together with the main dish was dry (Very dry), and the Chicken & Cheese salad had some odd flavour that I couldn’t handle. I actually had to force myself to finish, which was really sad. Keeping the nose shut + taking a bite + swallowing with water. I’ve seen other reviews with the same dish, and I cannot understand what others found to be wonderful with their choice to be honest. The ingredients felt superb themselves (fresh and good quality), but there was this underlying taste that was hard to handle.
The Baba Ganoush was great though!
I feel sad when writing this review, because I Want to love this place for everything, but the food doesn’t let me. Maybe I’ll come back for a coffee sometime, just to enjoy the...
Read moreTwo weeks ago I went to Le Pain together with my daughter to have one of their delicious teas and croisanes. We left such cozy place leaving my umbrella behind. It was not until 3 days ago that I realized my dear umbrella was not at home.I went to Le Pain to ask if they had found it. The lady in charge told me to come back in two days. That is exactly what I did today. The umbrella was there!!!! I could not believe my eyes!! They usually keep things left behind by customers in a storage deposit under key!!! I would like to thank the person who found it for his/her honesty and Le Pain Quotidien for keeping such a policy with their employees!!!...
