Very, very disappointing, very poor quality salads here - very lazy, no effort goes into these salads.
I had a really lousy salad, although not as atrociously lousy as at Coma, Veggie. First problem: the salad was actually mostly a big pile of lentils, with a little salad on top. I expect a focus on salad, not on lentils, if the dish is described as a 'salad'!! (Get the dictionary out: salad means vegetables!!!) Second problem: they don't bother to do a dressing and leave the customer to create the dressing out of oil and vinegar. This makes no sense because you can't make a dressing and then shake it through the salad, if it's sitting on your plate! They don't give you anything to shake up the oil and vinegar together either. Also, oil and vinegar are EXTREMELY BORING salad dressing!! This is just very lazy by the restaurant, and gives the customer a good reason to just stay at home and make your own salad at home.
By comparison, see what HierbaBuena and Buenos Aires Verde do instead: they both create a much more interesting salad dressing (utterly delicious!!) with their salads, and they bother to dress the salad themselves with this dressing - avoiding any messing around for the customer. They both serve up utterly lavish, sumptuous salads, with (i) a focus on salad, and (ii) interesting, creative, inventive salad dressings!! As a result, both these restaurants are FAR, FAR better quality than...
Read moreThis is a great vegetarian restaurant in the San Telmo district with long opening hours that has an interesting menu of vegetarian meals including salads, sandwiches, falafels, burgers and tofu dishes. In addition, it has a nice selection of beverages included fresh juices, coffees and wine. I had a tofu dish with rice and vegetables, a burger made with lentils covered with tomato sauce and vegan cheese accompanied by a salad and a coconut chocolate cake for dessert. All the items were fresh, delicious and generous in portion sizes. The service staff was efficient, friendly and spoke some English. The restaurant had a casual, relaxed and cozy ambiance with pleasant music playing softly in the background. Within the restaurant is also a shop selling household plants and flowers. This is a great place to relax either alone or with friends and enjoy a healthy meal and...
Read moreThe atmosphere of this establishment is really cute. It is well done with lots of bohemian like decorations. The seating was spacious there seem to be plenty of tables. I ordered avocado toast with tomatoes and hummus. The food was nothing amazing, but it certainly was very very good. The cafe frio was typical, good enough. My one concern, and this is a big one, is at the service was incredibly slow. All I ordered was avocado toast, and café frio. It took a well over 30 minutes to get those two items while I was one of only six patrons in the restaurant. I would definitely recommend this place if you have the time, but be prepared to wait and bring a book or something good to read. I can’t imagine how long the wait would be when that is busy. There are also many vegan options, which is...
