SIFÓN Sodería — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

Heard about Sifón a few times so finally decided to check them out. The ambience is fantastic as well as the decor, but I’d suggest turning down the music so one can have a conversation and up the lighting so one can see the food in front of them. The menu is quite interesting, with a few twists on local fare. Drinks menu is heavy on vermouth, which was great - we tried the “ah pero con soda” and the “el tano” and both were tasty and refreshing. El ambiente del lugar matchea completamente con la onda. Está genial que tenga los 3 sectores (vereda, adentro y patio con estufita y techado) y muuuchas mesas. La comida estuvo toda MUY buena: Jarra de vermú común 5/5: si se prepara con 1/4 de vermu y resto soda, alcanza para 6/8 vasos. Con 1/2 de vermu para 5. Estaba muy rico, y el detalle del sifón suma. Buñuelos de espinaca 4/5: riquísima la salsa, crujientes los buñuelos y ricos. Le faltaría algo de cremosidad por dentro. Boniatos con aceto y champi 3/5: en sabor estaba bien, pero muy blandos los boniatos, como que esperaba algo más crujiente. Hummus con pan pita 5/5: sin palabras, exquisito y muy buena cantidad. Chipa 4/5: muy sabrosos, buena cantidad. A mi gusto le faltaba crocantez para afuera como para terminar de ser excelente. Arancini 5/5: MUY sabrosos, el empanado es sin gluten, y muy original el plato. Lo recomiendo sin dudas. Todo vino en una porción abundante, para el precio estuvo más que bien, de hecho nos salio barato compartiendo platitos entre varios. El servicio estuvo bien, la comida vino rápido.

Algunas críticas constructivas: -Al llegar nos avisaron que la cocina abría 18:15. Tendría que estar aclarado en algún lugar, o en la carta. -Para el hummus nos cobraron aparte galletas de arroz, 2 unidades a $300, para un comensal que no puede comer con gluten. Nos pareció un poco excesivo el precio.

Me parece un excelente lugar para hacer juntadas con amigos o un cumple, no tanto para citas o un mano a mano con un amigo. Tener en cuenta que además tiene muchas (y variadas) opciones veganas...
