Xi Bei Feng (Northwest Wind) — Restaurant in Autonomous City of Buenos Aires

Food was bad and the ambiance of the restaurant was terrible. I was told they won’t let you reserve unless you do it on WeChat so we did but we wrote in English first and they said no space sorry, then I google translated to Chinese and then they said okay for us to make a reservation and when we got there, the restaurant was EMPTY with only one table occupied so they kind of lied to us. The restaurant had the worst vibe / ambiance, I can’t even describe it.. it was kind of eerie like the start of a horror movie. The food came and we got dumplings which was okay and this roujiamo burger and it was really bad and they gave a tiny bit of meat and honestly it was pricy for what we got. I’m embarrassed that this Chinese restaurant is like this being Chinese...

This place is completely authentic. The flavours are from Gansu province, and they really don’t miss a beat. That being said, be forewarned, I’m pretty sure they do not serve non Chinese-speakers. They keep the doors locked, and refused entry to every non Chinese who tried to get in, instead handing them a business card and saying they need to make a reservation. The restaurant had more than enough empty tables. I’m not sure why, maybe there have been some issues in the past, but for whatever reason if you don’t speak Chinese then you basically are not allowed to eat here. I lived in China for 6 years and speak the language so I had no difficulty, but it was definitely a strange experience given it felt more like a dining club than a restaurant. Food...
