Restaurante Demuru — Restaurant in Buenos Aires

I usually don’t provide bad reviews when I have bad experiences….but this one I cannot let it pass. We went in yesterday March 18. Party of 3. We arrived at 1:00 and there were only two other tables (party of 2 each). We ordered fish of the day, milanesa and a salad….an hour later, the restaurant was packed, all tables eating except us and one of the two original tables who arrived first. At some point the waiter came with what we thought was our food…but ups! Sorry! Not for you…and he left to bring that food to one of the tables inside (which arrived probably 40’ after us). Next he brought two salads for the other original table who was also waiting for so long. I heard the waiter explanation to them: sorry for taking so long, we had an issue with the order. 20’ later our food arrived (1:45’ after we ordered). No apologies nor explanations. Actualización 2 de abril 2021: Llegamos con mi novia a las 22.30 ya que teníamos reserva en el segundo recambio. Tuvimos que esperar a que se libere una mesa. Algo pasó pero estaban desorganizados y había muchísima demora, incluso para desarmar y rearmar las mesas. Cuando la mesa estuvo lista, era una mesita perdida en el fondo de un pasillo al lado de la mesa donde los mozos agarran los condimentos y vasos, y salen de la cocina. Incluso estaba los pasacables en la pared. Un lugar horrendo para la calidad que uno espera. Considero eso una falta de respeto a un cliente por el precio. Luego de 20 minutos se acercó el mozo. No había los clásicos panes ni las atenciones en la mesa. Todo muy pobre. Verdaderamente decidimos irnos. Hemos tenido otras experiencias mejores. Pero anoche fue desastroso. Uno espera pasar una velada agradable, considerando el precio. Lamentablemente se nota que la ambición ha arruinado a este restaurante que supo ser bueno. Comentario original: Es nuestro lugar para ir a cenar en Carilo. Es un restaurante en serio. Han ampliado mucho el local desde nuestra última visita hace algún tiempo ya. Muy buena atención y la calidad de los platos es excelente. Además tanto las entradas como los principales se pueden compartir sin problemas. Además ofrecen una pequeña entrada de cortesía y los panes son variados y exquisitos. Hidden gem in the middle of Carilo's town center. The service is amazing with a lot of perks. Most dishes are for sharing and the quality of products is really good. The taste also is excellent. Only minor thing is that since it is located inside an open air shopping plaza the view is not something special and sitting inside usually is smelly. But I would totally recommend this place and even dare say that if you have to diviate here from neighbor...
